A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be rather easy if you have a Linux website hosting package with our company. You can enable this option through our powerful, yet easy-to-use Email Manager, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the web hosting account itself. You’ll find all the email addresses that you’ve set up listed alphabetically and to the right of each one of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you whether a certain mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a given domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any time. In case there is enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll get a warning text message from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will see a small button conveniently located directly next to each of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option using the context menu that will come into view. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
